About the Role
You will serve as the primary relationship lead for external drug discovery partnerships. You will lead collaboration governance, coordinate cross-functional program execution, manage plans and risks, support agreements and data sharing, prepare executive updates, and improve alliance-management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, engineering, business, or a related field
- 12+ years in alliance management, scientific program management, project management, scientific operations, or related biotechnology or pharmaceutical functions
- Experience managing complex scientific collaborations and strategic partnerships
- Understanding of small-molecule drug discovery from target identification through preclinical development
- Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams without direct authority
- Organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary alliance manager for drug discovery collaborations and external partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners
- Lead collaboration governance, including steering committees, working groups, reviews, action tracking, and decision documentation
- Align cross-functional teams on collaboration objectives, milestones, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain collaboration plans, timelines, commitments, contractual obligations, budgets, and metrics
- Coordinate execution across partnered programs and resolve risks and dependencies
- Coordinate drug discovery milestones from target identification through development candidate nomination
- Maintain visibility into discovery timelines, assay execution, data delivery, and governance decisions
- Support collaboration agreements, governance structures, data sharing, publications, and partnership activities
- Prepare executive updates, partnership reports, and presentations
- Improve alliance management processes and governance standards
