About the Role

You will provide contractual guidance, assess risk, develop contract strategies, and support proposals, negotiations, awards, payment terms, and closeouts. You will coordinate contracting activities with legal, finance, supply chain, operations, and compliance stakeholders, maintain customer relationships, and resolve key business issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a technology, defense, or aerospace or space company
  • Experience managing government contracts under FAR and DFARS
  • Experience developing proposals, cost structures, performance requirements, delivery schedules, and negotiations
  • Ability to communicate with and influence executive leadership
  • Communication and customer-relationship management skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
  • Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to obtain required export authorizations

Responsibilities

  • Provide contractual guidance on rights, obligations, regulations, and policies
  • Assess contract terms and conditions to mitigate risk
  • Develop and implement contract strategies
  • Support proposal preparation and contract negotiations
  • Partner with finance on contract awards, payment terms, and on-time payment
  • Coordinate contracting activities across functional stakeholders
  • Ensure contract and proposal approvals and documentation comply with policy
  • Maintain customer relationships
  • Coordinate contract closeouts and supply-chain contracting requirements
  • Travel between multiple sites as needed
