About the Role
You will oversee government-contract proposal review, procurement strategy, negotiations, contract structuring, and FAR/DFARS compliance. You will independently negotiate commercial agreements, develop legal templates and playbooks, and support additional legal matters including international contracting, regulatory issues, ethics, employment, and litigation.
Requirements
- J.D.
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
- 8+ years of substantive legal experience
- U.S. government contracts law expertise
- FAR/DFARS expertise
- Commercial contracting expertise
- Supply chain, procurement, or vendor agreement experience
- Eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Manage the government contracts lifecycle
- Review proposals and develop procurement strategy
- Structure and negotiate government contracts
- Ensure FAR/DFARS compliance
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements
- Serve as the primary contact for inbound contract requests
- Develop contracting templates, playbooks, and processes
- Support international contracting, regulatory, ethics, employment, and litigation matters
