About the Role
BitGo seeks a strategic legal leader based in Singapore to oversee legal and regulatory affairs across APAC, mitigate cross-border risks, support commercial growth, and lead a growing regional team.
Requirements
- Professionally qualified lawyer in Singapore or another major common law jurisdiction with exceptional academic credentials.
- At least twelve years of experience, including significant in-house regional leadership.
- Deep knowledge of legal and regulatory environments across Southeast Asia, Australia, and Greater China.
- Experience managing distributed legal teams and complex multijurisdictional challenges.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance compliance with rapid business growth.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute regional legal strategy aligned with global business objectives.
- Advise APAC leadership on high-stakes commercial ventures and regional expansions.
- Oversee corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and government relations across APAC.
- Guide the regional team through data privacy, financial, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Manage disputes, employment matters, and corporate transactions alongside external counsel.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop legal professionals across regional hubs.
