About the Role

You will own commercial legal work, draft and negotiate client, partner, vendor, and intercompany agreements, support regulatory and licensing obligations, advise on compliance matters, assist with corporate governance and financing, maintain corporate records, and manage outside counsel.

Requirements

  • Law degree or equivalent
  • Admission to practice or good standing in a relevant jurisdiction
  • 5–8 years of relevant legal experience
  • Commercial contracting experience
  • Corporate matters experience
  • Compliance and licensing knowledge
  • Familiarity with crypto or payments
  • Sound judgment
  • Clear communication
  • Ability to work autonomously

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
  • Serve as the primary legal contact for commercial deals
  • Build contract templates, playbooks, and processes
  • Identify legal risk and provide business-minded solutions
  • Support regulatory and licensing requirements
  • Advise on privacy, AML, sanctions, Travel Rule, marketing, employment, and tax matters
  • Translate regulatory obligations into practical guidance and contract terms
  • Support corporate governance and entity matters
  • Maintain corporate records
  • Manage outside counsel
