About the Role
You provide end-to-end legal support across product advisory, regulatory monitoring, data privacy, contract management, policy drafting, legal research, and stakeholder coordination. You assess legal risks, recommend mitigations, maintain contract documentation, and work with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of post-qualification legal experience
- Experience in a SEBI-regulated entity preferred
- Stock broking experience preferred
- Experience with research analyst services or mutual funds preferred
- LL.B or LL.M
- Financial sector regulatory framework knowledge
- Data privacy and data protection knowledge
- Contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Legal research and analytical capabilities
- Stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Commercial acumen
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal feasibility assessments for products and business initiatives
- Provide legal analysis and recommendations for product launches
- Review product features, workflows, and legal implications
- Track regulatory developments and legal updates
- Assess regulatory changes and update stakeholders
- Implement regulatory changes across business functions
- Support data privacy practices and documentation
- Review, draft, negotiate, and assess contracts
- Identify legal and operational risks
- Maintain the legal contract repository
- Draft and update policies, agreements, procedures, and legal documents
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare legal notes and risk assessments
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel
