About the Role
Join Adyen's Global DPO Office to build, roll out, and operate an enterprise-wide AI governance program. The role focuses on AI risk and impact assessments, regulatory interpretation, governance policies, model evaluation, privacy, training, and oversight of generative and agentic AI use cases.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building, deploying, and managing AI or privacy governance programs
- Qualification as a lawyer or governance professional
- Experience in AI governance, privacy, or technology risk
- Experience in payments, financial services, or another regulated industry preferred
- Knowledge of the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA
- Familiarity with LLMs, agentic AI, human-in-the-loop design, and tool permissioning
- Understanding of model evaluation, fairness, bias, drift, performance, explainability, and red teaming
- Experience translating regulations into practical guidance
- Cross-functional influence and stakeholder-management skills
- Strong drafting and communication skills
- IAPP AIGP, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or CIPM certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Build and operate an enterprise AI governance framework
- Design AI risk and impact assessments across the AI lifecycle
- Interpret AI laws and privacy requirements
- Create practical policies, playbooks, and procedures
- Define AI inventory and risk-classification requirements
- Develop guidance for evaluating performance, fairness, and explainability
- Create risk-tiered governance processes
- Translate fairness, bias, and red-team testing into procedures
- Coordinate AI governance controls, escalation, and human oversight
- Advise on privacy across the AI lifecycle
- Deliver AI governance training
- Monitor global AI and privacy developments
