About the Role
Perform monthly and quarterly closing, closing controls, audit support, reporting, ERP requirements definition, invoice and employee-expense payments, cash management, journal entry and closing adjustment processing, fixed-asset accounting, data aggregation, and analysis while improving accounting processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of accounting experience at a listed company, or at least 3 years of accounting audit experience at an audit firm
- Experience implementing ERP systems or defining requirements
- Experience implementing or evaluating new revenue recognition standards
- Experience independently leading accounting-related projects
- Nissho Bookkeeping Grade 1 or certified public accountant qualification is desirable
- Experience implementing or defining requirements for accounting and related systems is desirable
- Experience extracting and analyzing data using SQL is desirable
- Experience improving operations or establishing and streamlining business processes is desirable
- Experience reading contracts, including English-language contracts, is desirable
- Business-level English or experience working with international colleagues is desirable
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly and quarterly closing activities
- Manage closing controls, audit responses, and reporting
- Define requirements for ERP system modifications
- Process invoice payments and employee expense reimbursements
- Manage cash receipts and payments
- Enter journal entries and adjust closing entries
- Handle fixed-asset accounting
- Aggregate and analyze data
- Lead accounting process improvement and system projects
