About the Role
You own critical components of group financial reporting and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions. You prepare analyses, coordinate external audits, manage documentation, provide technical guidance on complex accounting matters, support acquisitions and investment activity, advise senior stakeholders, and improve reporting processes and controls.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with ACA ACCA CA or equivalent qualification
- Strong post-qualification experience in audit technical accounting group reporting or financial reporting
- Strong understanding of IFRS and statutory financial reporting requirements
- Experience in complex multinational organizations or professional services environments
- Technical accounting knowledge of business combinations impairment share-based payments and financial instruments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Financial services FinTech banking or regulated industry experience is desirable
- Experience supporting complex acquisition activity is desirable
- Exposure to hedge accounting and treasury activities is desirable
- Experience coordinating external audits and governance reporting is desirable
Responsibilities
- Support statutory accounts preparation across group entities
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate timely and audit ready
- Produce analyses for group management reporting
- Deliver profitability margin and performance analysis
- Improve group reporting processes and controls
- Coordinate the group external audit process
- Manage audit deliverables and supporting documentation
- Liaise with external auditors and regional finance teams
- Prepare accounting updates for Audit Committee and senior leadership
- Provide technical accounting guidance on IFRS 2 impairment and business combinations
- Support mergers acquisitions and investment activity
- Contribute to continuous improvement across Group Finance
