About the Role

You will sell program sponsorships by driving inbound and outbound sales activity, identifying prospective sponsors, presenting solutions, negotiating sponsorship agreements, and managing partner deliverables. You will build relationships with community sponsors, act as their point of contact, coordinate with internal stakeholders, prepare and close sponsorship contracts, and ensure agreed deliverables are fulfilled. You will work toward quarterly quota attainment, add new clients, maintain a professional sales process, and provide a consultative sponsor experience.

Requirements

  • Have successful sales experience; sponsorship and event sales experience are a plus
  • Have experience with startup and technology markets
  • Create proposals
  • Structure partnerships creatively
  • Use and maintain a CRM
  • Apply problem-solving and systems thinking
  • Be available to work at least 45 hours per week
  • Be available for evening events and weekend work when deadlines require it
  • Plan to stay in Texas and commit to the position for two years
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Use Google productivity tools including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Be available during SXSW, DREAMCON, and Austin Tech Week

Responsibilities

  • Drive inbound and outbound sales activities to identify prospective sponsors
  • Present program solutions and negotiate sponsorships
  • Create sponsorship proposals
  • Manage sponsorship deliverables for partners
  • Identify and develop relationships with potential community sponsors
  • Serve as the point of contact for prospective sponsors
  • Liaise between sponsor contacts and Capital Factory
  • Prepare, deliver, and close sponsorship contracts
  • Ensure sponsorship deliverables are met
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly quota
  • Add new clients to the partnership community
  • Run a professional sales process with a strong close ratio
