About the Role
Sugar is building Revolving Credit as a Service for businesses that need scalable working capital without pre-funding or bank-sponsorship reserves. The VP of Sales will lead revenue generation across fintech, crypto-native, and traditional financial services customers while helping shape pricing, positioning, sales processes, and the broader commercial roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of enterprise sales experience in fintech and/or crypto industries.
- Quantifiable success closing high-value B2B enterprise deals with fintechs, crypto companies, or financial institutions.
- Experience at venture-backed companies between Seed and Series C.
- Deep understanding of financial technology and comfort discussing API infrastructure, credit, and working capital.
- High agency and ability to operate initially as an individual contributor without extensive marketing or sales-development support.
- Strategic, product-minded approach to selling an evolving product vision.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience selling credit, lending, payments, banking, or treasury infrastructure is particularly useful.
- An active executive network across fintechs, crypto exchanges, and traditional financial institutions is particularly useful.
- Experience with stablecoins, wallets, custody, on-chain payments, or blockchain infrastructure is particularly useful.
Responsibilities
- Define, own, and execute the enterprise sales strategy from initial outreach through closed-won.
- Manage complex, high-value enterprise sales cycles with fintechs, crypto-native companies, and traditional financial services firms.
- Build strategic relationships with C-level executives, VP-level decision-makers, and technical stakeholders.
- Work with the founders to refine pricing, positioning, and the commercial roadmap.
- Translate customer and market requirements into feedback for the engineering team.
- Architect the sales playbook and CRM processes from scratch.
- Build, hire, and mentor an enterprise sales team as the company scales.
- Capture market share while maintaining professionalism when selling mission-critical financial infrastructure.
