About the Role
You will lead the global RFP, RFI, and DDQ function across products and regions. You will manage and mentor communications professionals, allocate resources, oversee complex opportunities, and provide final quality control. You will write and edit high-stakes proposals, awards submissions, and other business communications for institutional and wealth audiences. You will work with subject-matter experts and senior stakeholders to translate complex investment concepts into persuasive client-ready messaging. You will govern content quality, improve processes and drafting technology, report on proposal volume and win rates, maintain current private-markets expertise, and manage requests and escalations from external and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, finance, or a related field
- Have at least 8 years of progressive experience in RFP or proposal management, marketing communications, or investor relations
- Demonstrate success in investment management, private markets, consulting, investment banking, or financial services
- Have people-management experience developing high-performing writers and analysts
- Demonstrate exceptional writing and editing skills across executive, client, and consultant audiences
- Possess the executive presence and judgment to influence senior stakeholders
- Demonstrate project management skills and the ability to prioritize a high-volume pipeline under sustained deadline pressure
- Have experience improving processes and adopting RFP or content management technology such as Salesforce or Loopio
- Possess strong working knowledge of private-markets strategies, preferably primaries, secondaries, co-investments, private credit, and growth equity
- Experience partnering with Compliance or Legal on regulatory and disclosure considerations is preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the global RFP, RFI, and DDQ program across all product lines and regions
- Manage, mentor, and develop RFP and Business Communications professionals
- Coach professionals on writing, business judgment, and career development
- Set priorities and allocate resources across a high-volume request pipeline
- Balance workloads, deadlines, and business priorities
- Serve as the primary escalation point and final quality reviewer for complex and high-visibility opportunities
- Represent the function in cross-functional governance forums
- Align stakeholders on processes, roles, and standards
- Produce and edit executive-level RFP, RFI, DDQ, and firm award responses
- Articulate investment capabilities, processes, performance, and thought leadership for institutional and wealth audiences
- Translate complex investment concepts into clear, persuasive, client-ready messaging
- Govern quality standards for the RFP and content management system
- Keep content resources accurate, current, and consistent
- Improve RFP processes, tools, and content infrastructure
- Implement efficiency gains using content management and AI-assisted drafting platforms
- Develop and present reports on RFP volume, win rates, and pipeline health
- Maintain current expertise in private-markets strategies and the investment platform
- Ensure written deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand and quality standards
- Collaborate with colleagues across the United States, Europe, and Asia
- Build trusted relationships with Investor Relations, Compliance, Investment professionals, and senior stakeholders
- Manage requests and escalations from prospects, consultants, clients, general partners, and internal stakeholders
