About the Role

Lead and scale Chainalysis' global Accounting organization, overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, technical accounting, controls, systems, audit readiness, acquisitions, and finance infrastructure while serving as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience in high-growth technology, SaaS, fintech, financial infrastructure, data, or similar global organizations.
• Experience leading and scaling global accounting organizations across multiple entities and regions.
• Deep technical accounting expertise and strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience maturing accounting organizations toward public-company readiness, including PCAOB-level audits, SOX, SEC-readiness, and scalable governance.
• Strong operational leadership and experience strengthening controls and processes.
• Experience leading teams through transformation and fostering innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Experience supporting acquisitions and strategic transactions, including financial due diligence, purchase accounting, and operational integration.
• Experience implementing and scaling ERP and finance systems; NetSuite is preferred.
• Strong business acumen, executive presence, and communication skills.
• Ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience with SaaS, fintech, crypto, data and intelligence, financial infrastructure, or regulated industries is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, FloQast, Salesforce, and modern finance technology ecosystems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale Chainalysis' global Accounting organization.
• Oversee general ledger, financial reporting, technical accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax compliance, treasury operations, and travel and expense.
• Build and develop a high-performing global accounting organization.
• Own and improve monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes under US GAAP.
• Lead SEC-readiness, SOX preparedness, PCAOB-level audit readiness, controls, and governance maturation.
• Serve as executive owner for global audits and primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Drive simplification, standardization, automation, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Sales, RevOps, Product, People, IT, and executive leadership.
• Advise the CFO on accounting, scalability, organizational design, and financial infrastructure.
• Support acquisitions and strategic transactions, including financial due diligence, purchase accounting, and integration planning.
• Champion automation, AI-enabled workflows, scalable systems, and data-driven insights.
• Lead the evolution of ERP, billing, procurement, payroll, and reporting systems.
