About the Role
You will lead global payroll operations across 18 countries and ensure accurate compliant and timely processing. You will manage payroll partners develop scalable strategies oversee automation and support country expansions and acquisitions. You will also lead the payroll function manage compliance risks and coordinate payroll activities with other business functions.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience
- Deep expertise in multi-state US and international payroll
- Experience leading globally dispersed teams of 5 or more employees
- Strong operational and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Certified Payroll Professional designation or equivalent global certification preferred
- Proficiency interpreting local and international payroll rules and regulations
- Understanding of statutory deductions tax rates social security requirements and benefits regulations across EMEA APAC and North America
- Proficiency with UKG and CloudPay
- Familiarity with Smartsheet Google Sheets and AI-enabled tools
- Experience managing public-company equity payroll including RSUs and ESPP
- Awareness of SOX control requirements
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end global payroll operations across all entities
- Manage payroll service partners SLAs KPIs escalations and business reviews
- Develop global payroll strategies focused on scalability standardization and risk mitigation
- Execute payroll automation and systems improvements
- Lead payroll implementations country expansions EOR management and M&A integrations
- Lead and develop a globally dispersed payroll team
- Resolve complex payroll matters and employee inquiries
- Coordinate payroll accruals reconciliations funding forecasting equity processing and reporting
- Ensure compliance with local state federal and international regulations
- Manage payroll taxes statutory deposits registrations audits and government inquiries
- Oversee global year-end payroll reporting and filings
- Identify and mitigate payroll risks and maintain internal controls
