About the Role
You will own the payroll operating model and decide which activities to keep in-house or outsource. You will build an automated and reliable payroll operation, manage payroll accounting and taxes, handle equity-related payroll treatment, maintain controls and audit trails, support audits, and potentially expand responsibility across global entities.
Requirements
- Expert current knowledge of Swedish payroll
- Knowledge of AGI employer reporting employer contributions SINK pensions benefits LAS and BFL
- Proven experience owning payroll
- At least 8 years of payroll experience
- Senior-manager level experience
- Strong payroll accounting skills
- Experience with equity compensation and benefit-in-kind taxation
- International or multi-entity payroll exposure is a strong plus
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Excellent English communication skills
- Swedish is a strong plus
- Based in Stockholm or willing to relocate
Responsibilities
- Define and own the payroll delivery model
- Lead transitions between outsourced and in-house payroll
- Build an accurate automated payroll operation
- Manage payroll journals accruals reconciliations and month-end close
- Manage payroll and tax treatment for equity events
- Own payroll taxes and compliance reporting
- Maintain payroll controls and audit trails
- Support external audits
- Expand payroll ownership across global entities
