About the Role
Source and evaluate investment opportunities across early-stage to growth companies, develop investment theses through market research, conduct due diligence, build financial models and valuations, prepare investment memos and presentations, support portfolio companies on strategy and business development, and monitor portfolio performance.
Requirements
- Associate: 2+ years of relevant experience
- VP: 5+ years of relevant experience, including investment judgment and deal ownership
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field
- Venture capital or growth equity investing experience preferred, or 2-3+ years at a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, or technology company
- Strong interest and domain knowledge in crypto, fintech, and software ecosystems
- Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in DCF, LBO, cap table, liquidation waterfall modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, and emerging AI tools
- Ability to work independently and drive projects forward
- Strong work ethic and dedication to supporting founders
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem participants to develop a sourcing network
- Develop investment theses through research into emerging market trends
- Source and evaluate investment opportunities
- Conduct in-depth due diligence and contribute to investment judgment
- Perform financial analysis, financial modeling, valuations, comparable analysis, cap table modeling, and waterfall modeling
- Prepare and present investment memos and pitch decks
- Support portfolio companies on corporate strategy and business development
- Monitor portfolio company performance and track key metrics
- Lead deal processes, drive sector theses, serve as a key stakeholder contact, and mentor junior team members for senior candidates
