About the Role
You will run the startup program’s daily operations, including applicant intake, evaluation, scoring, routing, offer decisions, and outcome tracking. You will build AI-powered automation and internal tooling using Databricks AI tools, hold technical conversations with founders about their AI systems, and assess their technical ideas. You will design and run founder and investor events in San Francisco, partner with venture-firm event teams, and translate ecosystem insights for Product and Databricks Ventures. Over time, you will take broader ownership of startup ecosystem relationships and strategy.
Requirements
- Hands-on technical proficiency with AI and the ability to prototype automation and reason about agent architectures
- Strong proficiency with Databricks AI tooling such as Omnigent, Unity Gateway, and Agent Bricks
- Experience operating complex, multi-track programs with close attention to detail
- Ability to explain and teach difficult technical concepts clearly
- Comfort working with early-stage founders and investors
- Experience designing and running events
- Ability to switch between technical work, operational execution, and strategic thinking
- Based in San Francisco and able to spend regular in-person time with founders and investors in the Bay Area
- Nice to have: experience as a founder, early engineer, forward-deployed engineer, or solutions engineer
- Nice to have: experience in B2B SaaS, AI and data infrastructure, or developer ecosystems
Responsibilities
- Run day-to-day startup program operations, including applicant intake, evaluation, scoring, routing, offer decisions, and outcome tracking
- Build AI automation and internal tooling using Databricks AI tooling
- Maintain program trackers, automation, quality standards, and follow-through
- Hold technical conversations with founders about AI models, agents, data, automation, and relevant platform fit
- Assess founders’ technical capabilities and ideas and share insights with Product and Databricks Ventures
- Design and run founder and investor events in San Francisco
- Partner with venture-firm events and platform teams to co-produce gatherings
- Represent Databricks at founder and investor events
- Work with Databricks Ventures on startup ecosystem engagement strategy
