About the Role
You will lead regional trade-compliance activities across the UK and Europe. You will manage export authorizations and classifications, advise on export controls and licensing, maintain audit-ready records, implement compliance procedures, monitor regulations, collaborate with technical stakeholders, and improve classification and licensing workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of trade compliance, customs, or export control experience
- Experience with UK export controls or US ITAR and EAR frameworks
- Experience managing export authorizations and interacting with regulatory bodies
- Knowledge of export classification, jurisdiction determination, and licensing workflows
- Understanding of European export-control regimes and cross-border transfers
- Experience translating technical information into compliant classifications and documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary UK trade compliance contact
- Manage UK and European export authorizations
- Classify products, software, and technical data
- Advise on European export controls and cross-border transfers
- Partner with engineering on classifications and licensing strategies
- Maintain classification and licensing documentation
- Provide export-control guidance and compliance strategies
- Implement visitor controls, travel guidance, and restricted-party screening
- Review export authorizations for regulatory and policy alignment
- Monitor UK and European regulatory developments
- Improve classification and licensing workflows
