About the Role
You'll join the Fund Tax team and work closely with the Head of Fund Tax to manage the tax team and delivery process. You will partner with product and engineering to transform the LP experience by automating and releasing K-1s on the software platform. You will ensure a reliable connection between fund administration and tax products to deliver a seamless client experience, help manage a team of talented tax professionals servicing the client base, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support business growth. You'll play a key role in expanding tax offerings, including full-service and automated tax prep and filing, as part of the software platform.
Requirements
- 8+ years of applicable tax experience
- Self-starter who can identify potential issues and work to mitigate before they surface
- Passionate and knowledgeable about venture capital and/or private equity
- Organized and calm under pressure, able to manage competing demands while solving ambiguous problems
- Ability to work cross functionally and drive progress forward
- Intimately understand the health and needs of Carta's venture client ecosystem to prioritize growth plans and improve customer engagement and loyalty
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
