About the Role

Wayve is hiring a Technical Program Manager to coordinate programs spanning AI, software, robotics, vehicle hardware, platforms, infrastructure, simulation, evaluation, validation, data, and product. The role is full-time and hybrid, based in either the London or Sunnyvale office.

Requirements

  • 5+ years leading complex, multi-team software or technology programs in fast-paced or early-stage environments.
  • Technical fluency with modern software, machine learning, and robotics stacks.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to reason about complex dependencies.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, risk and dependency management, and adaptability.
  • Clear communication and ability to explain complex ideas simply.
  • Collaborative leadership and ability to influence without authority.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and product-minded focus on outcomes.
  • Growth mindset and openness to feedback.
  • Ideally 8+ years as a Technical Program Manager.
  • Engineering or computer science degree, engineering experience, or equivalent technical background.
  • Experience with Jira or a similar tool.
  • Exposure to autonomous vehicles, robotics, perception, vehicle hardware, embedded systems, machine learning, simulation, evaluation, safety-critical, or compute-heavy domains is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Own project lifecycles and improve delivery outcomes through structured execution and coordination.
  • Identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and improve tooling and resource allocation.
  • Enable cross-team collaboration through effective communication, shared goals, and faster decisions.
  • Anticipate issues, develop mitigation plans, and manage risks affecting timelines and quality.
  • Align stakeholders, manage expectations, and deliver on commitments.
  • Ensure programs support Wayve’s strategic priorities through scope and resource decisions.
  • Lead retrospectives, encourage feedback, and implement continuous improvements.
