About the Role
You establish partnerships with enterprise customers running Workday and serve as their technical and financial subject matter expert. You guide Workday integrations, configurations, system design, technical discovery, implementations, troubleshooting, and architecture decisions. You translate complex solutions into business value, document scalable use cases, and channel customer feedback to Product and Engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field
- 4+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Workday
- Familiarity with Workday finance and accounting workflows, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, financial dimensions, and legal entity structures
- Comfort with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture
- Ability to partner with Product, Engineering, and Design
- Ability to advise on non-standard Workday implementations and edge cases
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering
- Organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Technical Consultant for enterprise accounts running Workday
- Advise customers and internal teams on Workday integration, configuration, and system design
- Assess customer requirements and propose solutions involving Workday Finance and Operations, HRIS, and API integrations
- Support technical workstreams with onboarding specialists and implementation leads
- Resolve technical hurdles and propose product implementations
- Conduct technical discovery of customer Workday environments and workflows
- Recommend Ramp architecture and API usage
- Advocate for integration development aligned with customer needs
- Troubleshoot Workday integration blockers
- Create internal documentation and tooling
- Channel customer pain points and feedback to Product and Engineering
