About the Role
You will serve as a senior project engineering lead and people manager. You will direct complex programs, guide system architecture and verification, oversee engineering execution and subcontractors, manage technical deliverables and risk, support proposals, and improve engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Ten years of project engineering experience
- Expertise in system integration, verification planning, and risk-based engineering
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, programs, and subcontractors
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent tools
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering team members
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Person eligibility under export regulations
Responsibilities
- Lead large defense and aerospace programs as a chief project engineer or senior technical lead
- Guide system architecture, integration, and verification strategies
- Oversee engineering execution across integrated product teams and subcontractors
- Lead technical baseline definition, configuration management, integration planning, and reviews
- Serve as an engineering interface to executive management and DoD customers
- Manage statements of work, subcontractor deliverables, and supplier inputs
- Support proposal development, cost estimation, and business capture
- Implement risk and opportunity management approaches
- Drive engineering process improvements and knowledge management
