About the Role
You will lead and grow engineers working in configuration management, development assurance, process assurance, and software quality. You will establish scalable engineering processes, audit compliance, represent process assurance to certification and government authorities, resolve findings, and report process health and improvement plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
- 12+ years of aerospace systems, software, or hardware development experience
- Significant experience in configuration management, process assurance, and development assurance
- Working knowledge of configuration management, DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A/B, and ARP4761A on completed certification programs
- Working knowledge of DO-330 tool qualification
- 5+ years of engineering team leadership or management experience
- Experience developing, auditing, or defending engineering process documentation for regulatory or customer compliance
- Working knowledge of military airworthiness, FAA certification, systems safety, and quality-management standards
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team spanning configuration management, development assurance, process assurance, and software quality assurance
- Own configuration management and continuously improve related processes
- Standardize and deploy core engineering processes
- Establish and run a compliance auditing program
- Represent process assurance to certification authorities, engineering representatives, and customer quality organizations
- Serve as the primary contact for DCMA and other government quality assurance representatives
- Drive process improvements based on audits, lessons learned, and regulatory guidance
- Lead root-cause and corrective-action analyses
- Report process health, audit outcomes, findings, and improvement roadmaps to the VP of Airworthiness & Certification
- Build scalable and repeatable process-assurance frameworks
