About the Role
You will build and operate Lakebase reliability systems, control-plane services, and network data paths. You will improve observability, define and measure SLIs and SLOs, investigate downtime, automate operations, and build reliable, secure, high-performance data services.
Requirements
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- 8+ years of production-level experience with Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with service-oriented architectures
- Knowledge of SQL
Responsibilities
- Build and operate Lakebase reliability infrastructure and services
- Build and operate the Lakebase control plane
- Build the Lakebase proxy data path
- Define and measure SLIs and SLOs
- Find causes of downtime and remove root causes
- Build AI-powered operational automation
- Build reliable, secure, high-performance cloud storage services and client libraries
