About the Role
You will develop and maintain database tooling, services, scripts, and automation for provisioning, access management, schema changes, and operational validation. You will help modernize legacy workflows, support application teams with database development, implement platform guardrails, improve observability, and contribute to incident prevention.
Requirements
- Experience with Python, Perl, Java, or similar programming languages
- Understanding of relational database concepts including tables, indexes, transactions, and SQL
- Knowledge of version control, code reviews, and testing
- Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn enterprise database platforms and tooling
- Ability to work in a large-scale technology environment
- Exposure to SQL Server, Snowflake, or similar enterprise databases preferred
- Familiarity with APIs, automation frameworks, or CI/CD pipelines preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain database tooling, services, and automation
- Develop scripts, services, and utilities using Python, Perl, Java, or similar languages
- Help migrate legacy scripts and workflows to scalable service-based or API-driven solutions
- Support application teams with schema design, SQL review, and database development standards
- Implement and maintain database guardrails, validations, and checks
- Automate operational work and improve consistency across environments
- Contribute code fixes and tooling enhancements following incident analysis
- Improve platform observability through logging, monitoring integration, and tooling enhancements
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing forums
