About the Role
You will design and build real-time backend services for abuse, fraud, and bot defense. You will deploy auditable and reversible enforcement from the edge through product services, develop logging and metrics, protect critical user flows, and shape the team's architecture, roadmap, and on-call practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of backend development on distributed systems
- 3+ years of experience in trust and safety, anti-abuse, or fraud prevention
- 3+ years of technical leadership across a team
- Eligibility to work in the US
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for real-time abuse, fraud, and bot defense
- Build rate limiters, challenge flows, rules engines, and account enforcement APIs
- Deploy reversible and auditable detection and enforcement from the edge to product services
- Build logging and metrics for blocked activity and false-positive rates
- Protect signup, login, payments, and song-generation flows from abuse
- Shape the team's architecture, roadmap, and on-call practices
