About the Role
You will develop and integrate autonomy software for unmanned platforms across air, maritime, space, and effects missions. You will lead a feature crew, create and negotiate interface contracts, mentor engineers, validate mission-ready systems, support live operations, debug full-stack integration issues, analyze mission data, and improve deployment processes.
Requirements
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
- 7 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- C++ proficiency
- Linux-based development experience
- Embedded-systems experience
- Shell scripting
- System diagnostics
- Familiarity with autonomy or robotics middleware pub-sub or IPC frameworks
- Experience supporting field or mission tests for unmanned or autonomous systems
- Experience with autonomy simulation environments
- Experience leading a small technical team or major capability
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Experience authoring or negotiating ICDs
- System-performance troubleshooting skills
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Responsibilities

- Bring up payload computers and container-based deployments

- Set technical direction and report progress

- Mentor engineers and onboard senior hires
- Drive design reviews post-mortems and engineering rigor
- Own build configuration validation and mission readiness
- Support live mission operations and troubleshoot systems
- Diagnose hardware and software integration issues
- Capture mission data reproduce issues and drive fixes
- Build tools and processes for deployment and testing
- Own command-and-control interface contracts and standards compliance
- Interview candidates and onboard engineers
- Travel to offices customer sites and integration or test events
