About the Role
You will architect and deliver scalable, mission-critical brokerage systems and platform services for regional markets. You will own API quality, performance, and operational readiness; advance multi-region and multi-currency capabilities; mentor engineers; support incident response and on-call coverage; and collaborate with Product, Compliance, and regional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with Go or an equivalent language and distributed systems at scale
- Staff-level impact in architecture ownership, cross-team technical leadership, and mentoring
- Financial services, fintech, or brokerage exposure, including trading lifecycle, settlements, and regulatory awareness
- Excellent English communication skills and comfort working with regional and global stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Architect and ship scalable, mission-critical brokerage systems, including gRPC microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and vendor integrations
- Advance the core platform for multi-region, multi-currency, and regulatory contexts
- Own API quality, performance, and operational readiness for regional workloads
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, and engineering standards
- Partner with recruiting on regional hiring and interviews
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and engineering culture
- Act as a senior escalation point for regional-stack incidents and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Participate in on-call coverage as appropriate
- Work with Product, Compliance, and local stakeholders on Singapore and regional requirements
- Collaborate across time zones with US and regional engineering teams
