About the Role
You will design, build, and operate the core backend services powering Transit’s RFQ orchestration engine and exchange orderbook. You will own systems from design through deployment, monitoring, and on-call operations involving real-money movement. You will develop pricing, routing, inventory, settlement, and execution-attribution capabilities; integrate chains, venues, solver networks, and liquidity sources; work with onchain contracts and compliance flows; and provide technical direction, code review, and mentorship.
Requirements
- 6+ years building and operating production backend systems
- Experience building systems from initial development through hardening
- Experience with financially critical systems such as exchange infrastructure, trading, or settlement
- Understanding of traditional exchange market structure, including CLOBs, batch auctions, or RFQs
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and build core services for RFQ pricing, quoting, routing, inventory management, and settlement across chains and venues
- Research, design, and build exchange orderbook services including the matching engine, pricing rules, order APIs, and onchain settlement
- Own systems end to end from design through deployment, monitoring, and on-call operations
- Build rate-aware pricing and inventory controls
- Integrate new chains, venues, solver networks, and liquidity sources
- Build execution attribution and economics capabilities for programmatic integrator revenue sharing
- Work with onchain contracts, mint and redeem facilities, and compliance enforcement
- Set technical direction and raise engineering standards through review and mentorship
