About the Role
You will own the architecture and delivery of Rust backend services for trading, payments, and crypto experiences. You will lead ambiguous product initiatives, deliver features end to end, shape roadmaps with product leadership, coordinate cross-team work, mentor engineers, and use AI-assisted engineering practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience
- Deep Rust proficiency in network services, asynchronous code, distributed systems, RPC protocols, Kafka, and event-driven architectures
- Experience making production architectural decisions
- Product engineering experience from problem definition through launch and user impact
- Experience mentoring, conducting design review, technical writing, or setting engineering standards
- Experience driving cross-team or cross-organization work
- AI-assisted development experience
- Experience working across backend and frontend boundaries
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and delivery of customer-facing Rust backend services
- Lead ambiguous multi-quarter problems from definition through shipment and measurement
- Own product features end to end across backend, frontend impact, and customer experience
- Partner with product leadership to shape roadmaps and own outcomes and metrics
- Drive cross-team technical initiatives
- Mentor engineers, review designs, and establish reusable standards
- Use AI to accelerate engineering work and define effective AI-assisted practices
