About the Role
You will design, develop, and test control algorithms for mobile-robot navigation and manipulation. You will deliver reliable control software, apply sensor-fusion techniques, investigate production issues, and collaborate on new features and customer deliveries.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace, or a related discipline
- At least 6 years of experience developing mobile-robot algorithms for localization, manipulation, and navigation
- Experience delivering deployed robotics software products
- C++ embedded coding and design-pattern knowledge
- Knowledge of real-time or embedded operating systems, threading, and communication issues
- Experience with software process and version-control tools
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test control algorithms for navigation and manipulation
- Deliver robotic control software
- Apply sensor-fusion estimation techniques and control algorithms
- Collaborate on planning, design, and development of features
- Ensure software quality, reliability, and testability
- Troubleshoot production and product-performance issues
- Identify risks and provide solutions for customer deliveries and system performance
- Travel up to 10%
