About the Role
You will develop and integrate navigation and pose-estimation algorithms, optimize sensor fusion and odometry, evaluate sensor performance, create performance metrics, and verify sensor calibration and uncertainty characterization.
Requirements
- Coursework or project experience in navigation, localization, robotics, or a related field
- C++ proficiency
- Foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering
- Experience transforming GNSS, IMU, wheel-speed, and related sensor data into pose estimates
- Experience writing design documentation
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate onboard navigation and pose-estimation algorithms
- Optimize sensor fusion and pose estimation using IMU, camera, and lidar sensors
- Develop visual and lidar odometry algorithms
- Develop navigation metrics for algorithm and system performance
- Evaluate sensor performance and optimize sensor selection
- Verify sensor calibrations, settings, and uncertainty characterizations
