About the Role
You will own product strategy for the runtime, model inference, and data platform. You will evaluate infrastructure tradeoffs involving cost, latency, scaling, and model serving. You will establish production performance measures, sequence technical roadmaps with engineering leaders, manage conversation-data decisions, translate technical constraints into business decisions, and influence cross-functional stakeholders and executives.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product management or related technical experience owning infrastructure, ML/data platform, or runtime-adjacent products.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in a relevant technical field.
- Working knowledge of inference and model-serving infrastructure, including latency, GPU and node economics, and hosting tradeoffs.
- Ability to own and justify an infrastructure roadmap without an end-user-visible surface.
- Experience with data-platform decisions, pipelines, residency and compliance constraints, and regional or product-line data tradeoffs.
- Ability to set direction and mentor junior product managers.
- Cross-functional communication skills for translating infrastructure tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy for runtime, inference, and the data platform.
- Set direction on build-versus-buy and self-hosted-versus-managed model-serving tradeoffs.
- Build and own a framework for measuring runtime and inference performance.
- Partner with infrastructure and platform engineering leaders to sequence the technical roadmap.
- Own conversation-data flows, including residency, retention, and access-control tradeoffs.
- Translate technical constraints into business decisions.
- Lead and influence engineers, data scientists, and infrastructure specialists.
- Represent platform cost, capacity planning, and risk in executive conversations.
