About the Role

You will develop and analyze structural and aerodynamic load cases for an air vehicle. You will lead maneuver, gust, landing, and ground-load analysis; build and validate loads models; assess aeroelastic stability; and support structural sizing. You will coordinate with engineering and test functions, maintain traceability, correlate flight data, and author technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of aircraft loads and aeroelastic analysis experience.
  • Proficiency with FEMAP, NASTRAN, MATLAB, or relevant simulation environments.
  • Understanding of aircraft flight envelopes, control-surface effects, and structural load paths.
  • Experience supporting design and test phases with load predictions.
  • Documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop aerodynamic and structural load envelopes for the full vehicle.
  • Lead maneuver, gust, landing, and ground-load analyses.
  • Coordinate load cases with GNC, aerodynamics, and structural engineering.
  • Develop and validate loads models using simulation tools and scripts.
  • Support structural sizing through load maps and V-n diagrams.
  • Conduct aeroelastic stability assessments.
  • Maintain traceability across interfaces, FEA models, and design documentation.
  • Support strain-gauge placement, instrumentation plans, and in-flight data correlation.
  • Author and present loads documentation.
  • Refine loads methodologies and automation.
