About the Role

You will lead PLC and HMI development, technical planning, validation, testing, and implementation for industrial control systems. You will resolve complex issues, document system configurations, perform customer updates, support production sites, lead design efforts, and coach less-experienced employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of power systems and AC/DC drive control architecture
  • At least 8 years of industrial control-system design and implementation using PLCs, HMIs, and drives
  • At least 8 years of PLC, HMI, and related industrial-control programming experience
  • At least 8 years of automated systems engineering experience
  • Advanced Rockwell PLC programming experience, including ControlLogix and GuardLogix
  • Advanced industrial network knowledge
  • Experience with Ignition 8 or FactoryTalk ME/SE
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Complex automated-system troubleshooting experience
  • Team organization and task-prioritization experience

Responsibilities

  • Define and plan technical work and validate stakeholder requirements
  • Lead test strategy execution, reporting, and requirements compliance
  • Lead improvement initiatives and approve technical solutions
  • Coach less-experienced employees
  • Perform root-cause analysis with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop PLC and HMI functionality and modify existing solutions
  • Document equipment configurations, system functionality, and processes
  • Perform PLC and HMI updates for customers on-site or remotely
  • Support customers and production sites
  • Lead dedicated system design efforts
