About the Role
You will define and execute component, subsystem, and full-robot test methods. You will investigate failures, document results, specify automation and production-test requirements, and use test evidence to improve hardware design and manufacturing validation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hardware test engineering experience
- Hands-on testing of complex electromechanical systems
- Test methodology and pass/fail criteria definition
- Mechanical design principles and measurement tools
- Technical drawing and GD&T knowledge
- Ability to read schematics and use multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Hardware production operations familiarity
- Experience with Jira, X-Ray, TestRail, or similar systems
Responsibilities
- Define component functional, performance, and stress tests
- Design subsystem integration tests
- Define and execute whole-robot tests
- Characterize new hardware revisions
- Investigate failures and verify fixes
- Document test methods, results, and learnings
- Translate manual methods into automation specifications
- Specify test fixtures, jigs, and instrumentation
- Define production-test requirements and acceptance criteria
- Define in-process verification and traceability requirements
- Feed production test trends into design reviews
