About the Role
You will develop and debug firmware for robotic motion control, stabilization, sensor integration, and Ethernet communication. You will design drivers and real-time control algorithms, optimize reliability and power efficiency, integrate microcontrollers and peripherals, maintain documentation and version control, and mentor engineers through code reviews.
Requirements
- 8+ years of embedded systems development experience
- Proficiency in C and C++ for microcontrollers
- Experience with RTOS and bare-metal systems
- Experience with ARM Cortex, STM32, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet
- Understanding of control systems, kinematics, and motion algorithms
- Experience using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with or interest in Rust for embedded systems
Responsibilities
- Develop and debug firmware for motion control, stabilization, sensor integration, and Ethernet communication
- Integrate microcontrollers and peripherals with hardware teams
- Design and implement motor, sensor, and communication-protocol drivers
- Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and power efficiency
- Develop and test real-time control algorithms for movement and balance
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
- Implement security and fail-safe mechanisms in embedded systems
- Maintain firmware documentation and version control
