About the Role
You will own embedded firmware for core robot hardware subsystems such as communication buses, battery charging, or actuator drives. You will define firmware-hardware interfaces, diagnose hardware-level issues, build diagnostic and telemetry capabilities, and maintain safe, reliable firmware across prototype and production platforms.
Requirements
- 7+ years of embedded C/C++ firmware development on real hardware
- Experience managing interrupts, DMA, and timing-critical execution
- Microcontroller experience
- CAN knowledge and experience with SPI, I²C, or UART
- Firmware debugging experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or equivalent tools
- Safety-critical or fault-tolerant embedded-system experience
- IEC 61508 or ISO 26262 familiarity
- Real-time operating system knowledge
- Robotics, autonomous-system, or electromechanical-product experience
Responsibilities
- Deliver production-quality firmware for assigned hardware domains
- Define firmware-to-hardware requirements and resolve integration issues
- Establish diagnostic and telemetry infrastructure for validation and field reliability
- Maintain a structured and documented firmware codebase
