About the Role

You will build and operate hardware-in-the-loop CI/CD systems that automatically validate firmware, control-stack updates, and robot policies on physical hardware. You will develop PR-triggered test pipelines, maintain HIL test farms, create reliable reports and alerts, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to make testability part of product design.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation, CI/CD, or test and integration engineering for hardware products.
  • Experience building or scaling HIL or hardware-in-CI systems.
  • Strong Python and/or C++ skills.
  • Fluency with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions and self-hosted runners on physical hardware.
  • Ability to read schematics, wire benches, debug CAN, EtherCAT, or serial connections, and script power supplies, DAQs, and instruments.
  • Experience with Nvidia-based embedded targets, firmware flashing, and JTAG bootloader recovery.
  • Experience with Linux CLI systems.
  • Ability to manage flaky tests and maintain trustworthy hardware test signals.
  • Root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build PR-triggered hardware test pipelines covering orchestration, device allocation, firmware flashing, power and reset control, data capture, and teardown.
  • Define and expand automated hardware regression coverage for motion control, locomotion, manipulation, perception, safety, and power.
  • Design and operate HIL test farms, from actuator benches to full-robot test cells.
  • Create per-PR reports, dashboards, alerts, and simulation-to-hardware result correlation.
  • Collaborate with embedded, controls, ML, mechanical, manufacturing, and integration testing teams to improve testability and shared tooling.

Benefits

  • Fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for US-based employees.
  • Virtual care and employee assistance resources.
  • 23 days of accrued PTO.
  • Separate sick leave and paid company holidays.
  • 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match.
  • Stock options.
  • Free daily catered lunch, snacks, and drinks in the office.
