About the Role

You will own the electrical health of a warehouse robot fleet, from next-generation hardware bring-up through field deployment. You will diagnose electrical failures, distinguish board, harness, firmware, mechanical, and environmental causes, and lead root-cause investigations to closure. You will validate new hardware, develop electrical test plans and diagnostic tools, analyze fleet telemetry, and translate findings into board revisions, firmware fixes, test coverage, and field service procedures.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of systems integration, hardware validation, or test engineering experience with robotics, electromechanical, automotive, or similar complex hardware products
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing board-level failures in power distribution, motor control, and digital logic or controller boards
  • Understanding of power electronics, including DC-DC conversion, battery systems, protection circuits, MOSFET switching, gate drivers, and BLDC/PMSM motor drives
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, electronic loads, bench supplies, logic analyzers, and CAN bus analyzers
  • Ability to work from schematics, PCB layouts, datasheets, and wiring harness drawings and perform component-level rework and probing
  • Experience leading root-cause investigations to corrective action
  • Python or similar proficiency for test automation and telemetry and log analysis
  • Written communication skills for root-cause analysis
  • Willingness to travel to warehouse sites up to approximately 20%

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for electrical failures on deployed robots
  • Triage field incidents and distinguish board, harness, connector, firmware, mechanical, and environmental faults
  • Analyze fleet telemetry, error codes, and logs to identify failure trends and prioritize fixes
  • Debug embedded firmware on STM32-class microcontrollers using crash dumps, fault registers, and JTAG/SWD
  • Own electrical integration and validation for next-generation hardware
  • Write and execute electrical test plans, including DVT/PVT, HALT/HASS, thermal, vibration, EMC, duty-cycle, and reliability testing
  • Build test fixtures, automated test scripts, and diagnostic tools
  • Convert root causes into board revisions, component changes, firmware fixes, test coverage, and field service procedures
  • Communicate failure impact, root cause, and fix status to engineering leadership and stakeholders

Benefits

  • Unlimited flexible time off
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid parental leave
  • Fully paid parking spots
  • Referral bonus
  • 401k
  • Equity program
