About the Role
You will define and own end-to-end test strategy across silicon, firmware, boards, servers, and racks from validation through production. You will design scalable test systems, review test coverage, establish regression gates and pass/fail criteria, investigate cross-disciplinary failures, and improve diagnostics and screening. You will also help bring testing into production with manufacturing partners.
Requirements
- Experience owning test strategy or test systems for a hardware product from bring-up through production.
- Hands-on experience with low-level firmware, board-level, and system-level testing.
- Experience designing regression gating or CI for hardware and firmware.
- Strong debugging skills across hardware, firmware, and software using logs and lab tools.
- Clear cross-functional communication and ability to make coverage and risk tradeoffs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to work onsite in San Jose and travel internationally to manufacturing partners.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the overall test strategy and coverage map across silicon, firmware, boards, servers, and racks.
- Design test systems and frameworks for structuring, versioning, gating, and running tests in the lab and factory.
- Review domain test plans, identify coverage gaps and duplication, and balance coverage against test time.
- Build regression gating for firmware, drivers, and test packages on representative hardware.
- Define pass/fail criteria, retest policies, and diagnostics.
- Lead technical triage across hardware, firmware, and software.
- Turn repeated failures into improved tests, screening, and diagnostics.
- Partner with test infrastructure and manufacturing partners to deploy the strategy into production.
- Travel to Taiwan as needed.
