About the Role
You will integrate and test robotic systems across actuation and perception hardware. You will diagnose cross-disciplinary mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software issues; bring up and evaluate components; maintain motor and sensor drivers; and develop assembly, QA, and troubleshooting processes. You will define performance requirements and test plans, and help optimize future hardware and software systems for safety, performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with complex robotic or electromechanical systems
- Proficiency in Python or C++
- System-level understanding of robotics hardware, firmware, and software layers
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
- Experience developing test plans and procedures for electromechanical systems
Responsibilities

- Triage and debug mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software issues
- Bring up, test, and evaluate sensors and actuators
- Maintain motor and sensor drivers and related Python and C++ tools
- Develop processes for robot assembly, bringup, QA testing, and troubleshooting
- Define component and subsystem performance requirements and develop test plans
- Support hardware and software system design to optimize safety, performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability
