About the Role

You will lead the design and optimization of high-impact manufacturing processes. You will scale production while balancing throughput, quality, and cost; deploy production infrastructure; work with vendors; mentor personnel; and standardize manufacturing performance.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or have relevant experience
• Have 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in rapid-growth environments
• Demonstrate experience scaling production processes in a startup or rapid-growth environment
• Understand machining, composites, avionics, and/or assembly manufacturing processes
• Demonstrate experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimization of high-impact manufacturing processes
• Scale production while balancing throughput, quality, and cost
• Lead manufacturing engineering for a new production line
• Scope and deploy manufacturing equipment, tooling, and hardware and software systems
• Engage vendors to source and integrate capital equipment, production tools, and automation systems
• Mentor engineers and production personnel
• Champion cross-functional initiatives to standardize and improve manufacturing performance
