About the Role

You will lead Vehicle Safety Operators during rotating shifts and manage schedules, performance, safety, and testing quality. You will respond to operational incidents, maintain shift documentation, coordinate training, communicate across operations, and deliver continuous process improvements from the Leonberg office.

Requirements

  • Full clean German driving licence
  • At least 5 years of driving experience in Europe
  • Experience as a team coordinator or similar role
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
  • Driving skills and knowledge
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Ability to pass a health check
  • Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing
  • Experience leading vehicle testing, AV environments, or technical demonstrations
  • Knowledge of AV technology or autonomous systems
  • T1 and T2 Bertha certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Vehicle Safety Operators during shifts
  • Manage schedules, task assignments, performance, and operational KPIs
  • Line manage Vehicle Safety Operators and address performance issues
  • Enforce safety protocols and legal compliance
  • Monitor on-road testing quality and raise discrepancies
  • Identify and resolve operational problems
  • Serve as the operational point of contact during shifts
  • Prepare shift reports, metrics, incident reports, and documentation
  • Act as the initial Operations Officer for on-road incidents
  • Coordinate training and development with Quality Assurance
  • Implement operational process improvements
