About the Role
You will supervise engineering technicians performing avionics integration, testing, debugging, production, maintenance, and flight-support work. You will interpret technical documentation, coordinate with cross-functional partners, oversee test equipment use, resolve operational issues, manage daily execution plans, and improve training, processes, documentation, tooling, and workflows.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with avionics, aircraft electrical, electronics, harnesses, PCBAs, integrated test environments, or complex hardware systems
- 2+ years of experience supervising, leading, training, or coordinating skilled technicians
- Ability to interpret harness and PCBA schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, test procedures, and work instructions
- Experience troubleshooting avionics or electrical systems
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, analyzers, breakout boxes, and automated test systems
- Experience administering workplace policies and reinforcing safety and quality standards
- Ability to analyze technical and operational data and make sound prioritization decisions
Responsibilities
- Supervise engineering technicians supporting avionics testing, integration, debugging, production, maintenance, and flight support
- Execute team assignments against objectives, approved processes, priorities, and schedules
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, test procedures, and production documentation
- Support avionics integration and testing from bench checkout through aircraft and flight-support environments
- Coordinate hardware bring-up, design verification, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions
- Resolve build, installation, test, rework, readiness, and schedule issues with production teams
- Ensure compliance with inspection requirements, workmanship standards, configuration control, and approved procedures
- Manage operational plans, technician workload, risks, hardware status, and schedule performance
- Oversee use of electrical and avionics test equipment
- Drive improvements to technician training, troubleshooting, procedures, documentation, tooling, and workflows
