About the Role
You will develop algorithms for robot task and action planning. You will apply machine learning, search, and optimization to sequential decision problems, develop robotics models, integrate algorithms into software infrastructure, use multimodal sensor data, and improve algorithm performance and software quality.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
- Strong knowledge of Modern C++ and Python
- 5+ years of relevant industry or research experience
- Familiarity with Linux and Git
- Experience with convex, continuous, and combinatorial optimization
- Experience with search strategies including Monte Carlo Tree Search and depth-first search
- Knowledge of constraint satisfaction, statistics, state estimation, system modeling, and task and motion planning
Responsibilities
- Modify algorithms spanning optimal control and Go solvers
- Collaborate with robotics, machine learning, mechanical engineering, and product partners
- Implement, test, and maintain high-quality software
- Develop and maintain accurate robotics-system models
- Integrate algorithms with existing software infrastructure
- Develop required auxiliary software
- Improve the rigor and performance of algorithms
- Apply sensor fusion and state estimation to multimodal sensor data
- Develop methods to improve the system internal world model
