About Nuclear Threat Initiative

About the Role
You will support, coordinate, and implement efforts to reduce nuclear risks worldwide. You will develop policy activities, track government developments, conduct outreach, represent the organization at meetings, and contribute to congressional strategy. You will plan program activities, manage project risks, coordinate domestic and international events, prepare grant materials, and create accessible communications content.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in international relations, international affairs, political science, or a related field; master's degree preferred
- At least 6–8 years of relevant experience in government, U.S. Congress, the nonprofit or private sector, or an international organization
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement activities that reduce nuclear risks, promote security and stability, and prevent nuclear weapon proliferation
- Track relevant policy developments and government activities
- Represent NTI at government meetings, professional conferences, and international diplomatic meetings
- Contribute to strategies advancing nuclear policy priorities in Congress
- Translate complex subject matter into accessible communications content
- Conduct outreach to governments, partner organizations, and other stakeholders
- Plan and implement program activities, milestones, and project-risk mitigation
- Plan and coordinate domestic and international meetings and events
- Assist with grant proposals and reports
- Support other program projects as needed
