About the Role
You will research and evaluate policy solutions for advanced-AI risks, draft policy memos and reports for Congressional offices, and track AI policy developments. You will provide nonpartisan technical commentary, build relationships with policy organizations, identify relevant AI-safety trends, and refine engagement strategy for policymakers.
Requirements
- 5-20 years of experience in policy or government affairs
- Background in AI, technology, national security, or similar policy areas
Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate policy solutions to mitigate AI risk
- Write policy memos, reports, and one-pagers
- Track AI policy developments at state, federal, and international levels
- Provide technical nonpartisan commentary to Congressional offices
- Build relationships with AI policy research and advocacy organizations
- Identify emerging AI development and safety trends
- Refine strategy for engaging policymakers
