About the Role
You will acquire and manage a diversified SME lending portfolio. You will source new relationships, arrange sanctions and disbursements, cross-sell asset, trade, cash, and treasury products, conduct due diligence, monitor accounts and renewals, manage risks and covenants, maintain KYC and AML compliance, and develop local business opportunities.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of overall sales experience.
- 2-3 years of sales experience in SME or business banking lending.
- 2-3 years of experience in working capital sales and service portfolios.
- Proven sales track record in SME or business banking asset businesses.
- Knowledge of competitors and the marketplace.
- SME market knowledge and experience with customer preferences and requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Commerce, or an MBA or CA.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Good sales and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of working capital finance.
Responsibilities
- Source new asset relationships within the SME segment.
- Coordinate sanctions and disbursements with customers, risk, and operations.
- Cross-sell asset, trade, cash, treasury, and fee products.
- Achieve budgeted revenue across product parameters.
- Conduct due diligence when onboarding new asset relationships.
- Create account plans covering revenue potential, risks, and mitigants.
- Increase customer wallet share through cross-selling.
- Monitor portfolios and complete account renewals on time.
- Identify early warning signals and take appropriate action.
- Ensure credit covenants and conditions are met.
- Maintain KYC and AML compliance.
- Provide management information to the central team.
- Build relationships with local businesses, prospective clients, market leaders, chartered accountants, influencers, and industry associations.
- Report material business opportunities and industry or customer risks.
