About the Role
You will lead Technical Solutions Engineers and support operations personnel resolving complex customer issues across data and AI platforms. You will build AI-enabled support workflows, automate troubleshooting, establish operational controls, manage escalations and KPIs, and support production incidents. You will also coach employees, maintain operational documentation, guide customers on performance optimization, and partner on defect resolution.
Requirements
- 10+ years designing, building, troubleshooting, and supporting large-scale Data and AI applications
- Python, Java, Scala, Spark, or related distributed technology experience
- Experience with AI-enabled support workflows, agentic AI, Claude Skills workflows, RAG architectures, vector databases, and operational automation
- Hands-on expertise in Apache Spark, Spark SQL, Structured Streaming, Delta Lake, and distributed data processing
- Experience with Big Data, Hadoop, AI/ML, Kafka, Streaming, Data Science, or Analytics workloads
- Spark and JVM distributed-systems troubleshooting and performance-tuning experience
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience managing globally distributed technical teams and high-severity customer escalations
- Analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, and operational-leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Build AI-enabled support workflows and reusable automations
- Use agentic AI, logs, telemetry, observability platforms, and internal systems to accelerate troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Create reusable runbooks, prompts, and agentic workflows
- Ensure AI governance, customer data safety, validation, auditability, and human-in-the-loop controls
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams on AI-first support innovation
- Lead Technical Solutions Engineers, Team Leads, and support operations personnel
- Own and improve customer satisfaction, escalation, backlog, resolution-efficiency, and support-quality KPIs
- Act as a senior escalation point for customers and internal teams
- Lead hiring, onboarding, mentoring, assessments, training, and career development
- Support complex Spark, streaming, Delta Lake, Lakehouse, and runtime issues
- Own Engineering JIRA escalations and drive product-issue resolutions
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and customer-facing knowledge-base assets
- Participate in incident management, escalation handling, on-call rotations, and critical production support
